The Washington County Historical Society is excited to celebrate the LeMoyne House's 200th year. In 1810 John Julius LeMoyne began work on a new house on East Maiden Street here in Washington, Pa. By the Fall of 1812, John and his family were moving into their new stone house. As John took his first steps into what would not only be his home, but also his doctors office, could he have possibly believed that 200 years later his house would be a museum and one of the most well known structures in Western Pennsylvania?
The Washington County Historical Society is excitedly looking forward to celebrating this incredible event. This website will be your guide to all things concerning the LeMoyne House turning 200. Please continue to check back to see what exciting events we have planned.
